Q: What's the difference between DL2032 and CR2032? The CR is so much cheaper. Id like to use it, if it's compatible.

I use the CR2032 - When it comes to unusual batteries like the coin type batteries, it is a bit more important to get the exact type that you are looking for to ensure that it is the correct fit and voltage and avoid having to buy the battery again. This is the case when it comes to CR batteries like the CR2032 and DL2032. The main difference between CR and DL batteries is just the maker. CR is basically a generic designation just like AA and AAA. It is used by almost all battery makers. On the other hand, the DL designation is used by the battery maker Duracell. (I googled this!) Yes | Report The people saying that the only difference is that one is made by Duracell and the other by other companies would appear to be misinformed. I'm at the store now and Duracell also makes the CR version. That's all I can find here. My guess is that the people saying DL is a longer lasting battery are likely correct. While the batteries share the same dimensions and will fit in the same appliances, the DL has a wider temperature operating range and a slightly higher capacity.
