Any advice on how to remove double-sided tape? I had a bulletin board hanging on the wall with very heavy-duty double-sided tape and now I'm trying to peel it off. Used my nails, and scissors... it won't budge! (I'm not so worried about the paint coming off, it's kind of bound to happen.) Thanks!

Try spraying and saturating it with WD 40. Be patient. It may take a while to peel all of it off. Good luck!

Creamy peanut butter. I've had great success on any number of problems like this. Spread it on, leave it for 30 minutes or longer, and the tape will peel right off.

Use a blow dryer for your hair on hot setting for a few minutes and it should peel off.

Had this same problem when I repainted my daughter's room. Lighter fluid helps along with a somewhat flexible putty knife, but you will still have some residue. Squirt and let it sit and soak into foam tape. You may need to repeat. Do not dig and gouge wall with putty knife, just scrape gently, but firmly to loosen. I had to lightly rub with fine sandpaper to remove final goo. You will very possibly need to repaint or at least touch-up depending on the surface you are working on and the color of the wall.

Note: I vowed to never use foam tape on walls again. Even on paneling, it tried to take off the top layer of wood on removal. Be careful using anything that will leave a greasy residue. You will then need to remove this residue before painting.

I used Goo Gone and a silicone pot scraper. Worked great and it was fast. I generously applied the Goo Gone with a paper towel and scraped with a little scraper I had in my kitchen drawer.

Use UnDo, you can get it at Walmart, Hobby Lobby, Michaels. It's a clear liquid & wont even hurt photographs.

Yes! Un-Du is the BEST!!! Non -oily. I use it on every adhesive situation.

Tape, labels, etc. I buy it on-line by the quart http://www.shopbrodart.com/Library-Supplies/Book-Care-and-Repair-Supplies/Adhesives-and-Removers/_/un-du-Label-and-Tape-Remover

Much more economical this way. You can remove a pre adhesive stamp off an envelope and still be able to re use both! Amazing stuff

Use a hair dryer to heat the tape, then a plastic scraper. You can always buy Homax spray wall texture if the texture is ruined.
