The first two races of the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs couldn't have gone much worse for Kevin Harvick.

The Closer has been felled by bad luck this postseason. After pulling into the top 10 at Darlington, Harvick's car burst into flames, knocking him out of the race and putting him outside the top 12 at the end.

Harvick couldn't get a break at Kansas, either. After a close encounter with Bubba Wallace and Ross Chastain, Harvick rammed into the wall. Plumes of smoke rolled out of the right side of Harvick's No. 4 car and he eventually slammed into the wall a second time, prompting the yellow caution flag.

Another week, another DNF. It seems Harvick's chances of qualifying for the Round of 12 are hanging on by a thread; the Stewart-Haas Racing driver sits at the bottom of the playoff standings, 35 points away from safety.

He still has a chance, however. This week's race is at Bristol. And if there's one thing Harvick knows how to do, it's win at the Last Great Colosseum.

Harvick has always tended to do well at Bristol. He's got three wins and 12 top-10 finishes  at the high-banked track. In fact, Harvick has finished second, first and third in his last three appearances at the oval-shaped surface.

It's a record that fills the 46-year-old with tremendous confidence entering Saturday's race. If anyone can do it, why not The Closer?
