The arrival of Godzilla and King Kong in Call of Duty: Warzone has been rumoured for some months, and with the launch of Season Three: Classified Arms arriving later today, the monstrous event is on the horizon.

Also known as Operation Monarch, Godzilla vs King Kong in a Call of Duty game has split the community. Many believe the series should stick to the more realistic approach, whilst others make the point that Call of Duty is probably the furthest thing from realistic.

The Godzilla vs King Kong Event, also known as Operation Monarch, comes to Call of Duty on Wednesday, May 11th, 2022. As always, fans can expect the event to kick off at 9AM PT / 12PM ET / 5PM BST.

Many fans are eager to know how the huge event will take place, with some worried that it could be a little lacklustre and overhyped. Thankfully, Call of Duty news account ModernWarzone assured fans the event wouldn’t just be a simple cutscene featuring Godzilla and King Kong. According to an email sent to influencers, players will “deploy, discover, and fight among the Titans. Be sure to watch your step… and theirs”, indicating that the giants will be battling over Caldera.

It's highly likely that there will be plenty of challenges and rewards for players to earn, as previous Warzone events have seen plenty of cosmetic items up for grabs by completing new challenges.
