The Appalachian State Mountaineers shocked the college football world last Saturday with their 17-14 upset win at the No. 6 Texas A&M Aggies -- and now they will host College GameDay.

The Sun Belt Conference school, located in Boone, North Carolina, will face the Troy Trojans at 3:30 p.m. ET Saturday on ESPN+ at Kidd Brewer Stadium.

App State handed A&M its first loss against a team that is currently in a Group of 5 conference since 2008 to improve the program's record to 2-7 all time against AP Top-10 opponents.

Its first win came 15 years ago, when the team took down the No. 5 Michigan Wolverines 34-32 at the Big House in one of the greatest upsets in sports history.

App State nearly engineered another upset in its season opener, but ultimately fell to former head coach Mack Brown and the North Carolina Tar Heels 63-61. The Mountaineers have made a habit of coming down to the wire against formidable foes as three of their prior four games against AP Top-10 opponents have been decided by one score.

The Mountaineers had competed in the FCS since 1978 and won three national championships under then-head coach Jerry Moore before moving to the FBS in 2014.

They might be a few more upsets away from their next national championship, but the Mountaineers seem to have found a knack for upending the college football landscape and improving their shot at a Bowl game in the meantime.
