New Era 59FIFTY & 59FIFTY Low Profile are both fitted hats with two slight differences. If you are unfamiliar with the baseball cap industry, we do want to point out that there are multiple words that pretty much means the same thing in this space. For example fitted hat, fitted cap means the same thing as well a brim and flat bill and an undervisor, underbill & underbrim. We wanted to point this out because the same is true when discussing 59FIFTY Low Profile hats. Low profile fitteds are also called "low crown" and you'll find out why shortly.  This is going to be a rather short article that gets straight to the point about the differences between the two styles. 59FIFTY Fitted Hat

A 59FIFTY fitted hat has a structured six panel high crown. The crown, also known as the "dome" of the hat has a perfect upright dome shape. A regular 59FIFTY fitted also have a flat bill, 180 degrees that sticks out in front.

 

59FIFTY Low Profile Fitted Hat

 A 59FIFTY Low Profile fitted hat has a structured low crown, which is different from the high crown of a regular 59FIFTY fitted cap. So that is one of the small differences between the two. The most noticeable difference between 59FIFTY and the 59FIFTY Low Profile is the bill of the fitted. Regular 59FIFTY has a straight flat bill, whereas the 59FIFTY Low Profile caps have a pre-curved bill. The two differences stated above is what makes these two styles slightly different, which is why New Era Cap Company made the Low Profile an extension of the 59FIFTY instead of an entirely new style.
