Londonguy L just wondering if someone could tell me where the wheel lock key is for the S model. It's not in the glove box and I didn't want to take out the trunk liner and look there if that's not where they put it at the factory. I guess there's a change it was forgotten. Thanks. #1 · Apr 4, 2010 just wondering if someone could tell me where the wheel lock key is for the S model. If it's not there check with your dealer. Jeff #3 · Apr 4, 2010 mine is together in a bag with the spares nuts in the trunk. #4 · Apr 4, 2010  Not a bad idea. 0 Reply #5 · Apr 5, 2010 mine was placed by the salesman in the white plastic bag for the manual. right now it is always in my wife's handbag. #6 · Apr 5, 2010 Mine was in the trunk as well. #7 · Apr 5, 2010 Thanks. Was it in with spare and tools or just in the trunk? Show more replies 0 Reply #9 · Apr 7, 2010 Mine is somewhere in the ditch at the bottom of my driveway; my wife put it on the car's roof (which was bad enough) when cleaning the glove box, then backed out of the driveway and tells me she heard a bit of "a noise", which was obviously the key rolling off the car. #10 · Apr 8, 2010 I keep mine in the bottom compartment where the power plug is located. #11 · Apr 8, 2010 Like everyone else said, check the trunk. When you find it, put it in the glove box in a bag. #12 · Jan 10, 2020 Bought the car from the toyota and never got a wheel key and was never el formed if this key. #13 · Jan 11, 2020 If your car has a wheel lock and you don't have the key you might have to just have a tire shop use sockets to get them off. When people sell older cars this can happen a lot where the old owner doesn't put the wheel lock with the car. Show more replies 1 Reply #16 · Jan 11, 2020 Best solution, find the closest sized socket to fit over the wheel lock. Make sure it's a deep socket an use your impact gun. #17 · Jan 11, 2020 They sell sockets just for this. Smooth on the inside and tapered. Put on impact gun, spin against the lock for a few seconds, give it a solid whack with a hammer and then it'll come right off with the impact. I've never tried the regular socket trick, I'll have to try it sometime. #18 · Jan 11, 2020 IDK either. I never bought wheel locks from a dealer when car was new. It's nice to have if you own Ray's, Volks, or any wheels you don't want taken. #19 · Jan 11, 2020 And if they want to steal them they will use one of the above listed techniques! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: 0 Reply #20 · Jan 12, 2020 Not sure if gorilla locks are still on the market or not. But they def are unique. Each set has its own key. Pricey back in the early 2000s. I think this is only working on OEM wheel locks. Insert Quotes Post Reply
