It seems one thing after another with my lo with reflux and trapped wind and trying loads of different things (Same as a few other on here going by all the posts) People say it gets easier and I imagine so but when?? I know once their digestive system is matured it's bound to help but have no idea what age that happens, does anyone know?Original poster's comments (2)go to original poster's comments pagereplied with hug1comment Advertisement | page continues below

  • member avatarHappycloud4 Posted 02-10-16If I remember rightly by about 4/5 months is when I noticed the wind didn't bother baby so much and her reflux started to improve x
  • bBooboo841 Posted 03-10-16I was told 4months by HV is when u don't need to wind them? Not sure if this is true though. Any stms out there? Am sure my niece was always patted after a feed even when on cows milk but this might just be down to her being a gulper and lazy burper! The oesophagus will strengthen at 3 months apparently so hoping his reflux eventually disappears then.
  • jJocat15 Posted 03-10-16I think the gurus say that colic gets better at around 12 weeks but their digestive system is always maturing just slowly. Hence the reason why it's no solids until at least 6 months as their bodies just can't handle it.Advertisement | page continues below
  • member avatarEmk1982 Posted 03-10-16I've read stomach and digestive systems are maturing between 3-12 weeks which makes perfect sense for us as my lb was absolutely fine the first 2 weeks! Praying that's correct and things change for us around 12 weeks!
  • member avatarBaggytrousers Posted 03-10-16My first was 11 weeks. I've always been told by 12 weeks things should noticeably improve and I was counting down the weeks last time. Haha.
  • nNewbabysmum1 Original PosterPosted 03-10-1612 weeks isn't soo bad then lol you don't want to wish their lives away but at the same time you don't want them suffering or struggling. Well were half way there. Every week seems to get better then you feel like you've gone a step back when they are sick or not right.
  • tTink171 Posted 03-10-16Around 4 months for dd1 and she stopped vomiting at 10 months!! X
  • nNewbabysmum1 Original PosterPosted 03-10-1610months!! Aww bless....my lo never seems to bother when she is sick though, seems to freak me out more haha
  • bBooboo841 Posted 03-10-16I hope it eases at 3months but like pp says it disturbs us more :( x
  • tTink171 Posted 03-10-16Yeah she was not bothered by the sick at that point, just have to carry round lots of spare clothes and muslins!!
