It’s been a long few months for fans of AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead. Sure, we’ve had new episodes of The Walking Dead season 11 to enjoy across several of the last few weeks but it’s nearly five months since the season 7 midseason finale aired back in November 2021.

Ever since the midseason finale, fans have been counting down the days until season 7 of The Walking Dead‘s first spinoff returns.

While it’s been a long break between episodes — one of the largest midseason breaks yet for the series — the good news is that Fear the Walking Dead will return to AMC’s primetime line-up sooner than you might expect!

When does Fear the Walking Dead season 7 come back on?

After a lengthy hiatus, Fear the Walking Dead season 7 finally returns to AMC’s line-up on Sunday, April 17 with the show’s season 7 midseason premiere. The show’s return comes as The Walking Dead heads on yet another break, allowing AMC to continue airing new episodes of its hit franchise for several weeks to come.

Upon returning on April 17, fans should be in for a stretch of new episodes as AMC is expected to air the remaining season 7 episodes with limited interruption.

tAs a result, fans should be able to enjoy new episodes of season 7 throughout the upcoming months as the plan seems to be for Fear the Walking Dead to complete its seventh season before The Walking Dead returns for its final episodes sometime this August.
