LoL’s new support is here with a Chem-Baroness striding onto Summoner’s Rift. But when does Renata release in the MOBA?

Renata Glasc has been poisoning her way through the Public Beta Environment with some shocking abilities. After being delayed for Arcane, her arrival came quickly after the release of Zeri. Now fans are wondering when Renata will be available in the game itself.

When does Renata release?

Renata will be added to League of Legends during Patch 12.4 on February 17, alongside the Teamfight Tactics mid-set update, Neon Nights.

Renata Glasc is a dark enchanter that introduces some brand new mechanics that have never been seen on a champion’s kit before. Most notably is her W and her ultimate, Bailout and Hostile Takeover respectively. Bailout is an offensive stat boost that increases the target’s movement speed and attack speed. If the target is killed while Bailout is active, they’ll come back to life at full health and begin to burn to death. Her ultimate turns enemies against their nearby allies, forcing them to auto-attack teammates.

Targets impacted by Bailout can stop the burn by getting a takedown, which also resets the duration of Bailout’s buffs. This ability has been controversial among fans, to say the least. Introducing a revive on a basic cooldown is a dangerous proposition, and with the recent removal of Chemtech Drake, it’s clear why.

Both of these fittingly toxic abilities will be hitting the live League of Legends server a day after patch 12.4 goes live, on February 17.

Renata has some of the most unique abilities that fans have seen in a while with Bailout and Hostile Takeover. She’s sure to be controversial upon release, but everything will depend on her numbers. Will she start out in the dumpster until players discover her true strength like Zeri, or will the memes about champions being released overpowered be true once again?

All these questions and more will be answered when Renata hits servers on February 17.
