You know what time it is… it’s Pumpkin Spice Latte time!

Forget the heatwaves, hosepipe bans, and the fact it’s been so dry lately some trees looked autumnal in August.

September is here, and the season is soon to change, meaning it’s time for the autumn menu to roll in at UK Starbucks stores – and for the much-loved ‘PSL’ or Pumpkin Spice Latte to return.

So, when is it back? Can you get it now? And what else is new on Starbucks UK’s menu?

Here’s all you need to know.

When is Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte back on the menu?

Good news! The Pumpkin Spice Latte came back to Starbucks UK stores on Thursday, September 1.

Starbucks Pumpkin Spice latte. Every year in the run-up to fall, we?re besieged by an onslaught of pumpkin spice-flavored products, some more logical than others. Pumpkin spice coffee creamer? Sure, why not. Pumpkin spice Buffalo wings? Eh, we?ll pass. If you needed more proof that just about every food brand has to get in on the pumpkin spice game, here it is: Pumpkin Spice Spam exists. It?s being introduced to the general public on September 23 and will only be available on Spam.com and Walmart.com, but we were sent an advance sample and had the opportunity to try it out for ourselves. Pumpkin Spice Products That Are Actually Good for You It looks like normal Spam (which really isn?t that bad!), but soon after taking it out of the can we caught a whiff of that familiar pumpkin spice scent, which only intensified as it fried up on our stovetop. The combined scent of heavily processed ham and sweet pumpkin spice was a bit off-putting, but how did it taste?

That means that if you’ve got that craving, you can pop to your nearest shop and pick one up now.

Also joining the autumn menu in UK stores is a Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew – which is the usual Starbucks Cold Brew sweetened with vanilla syrup, pumpkin cream foam and pumpkin spice.

Latte lovers can also sample the Salted Maple and Caramel Latte, which certainly sounds indulgent. Despite cooler weather, you can also order the same beverage as an iced latte.

If you’d like a bite to eat with your PSL, the Pumpkin Spice Cookie and Pumpkin Spice Loaf are both back.

As for new items, a Toffee and Apple Muffin has also been added onto autumn’s menu – featuring a gooey apple centre, vanilla frosting, crumble and a drizzle of caramel on top.

Starbucks Espresso Roast Blondie is another cake-type treat to enjoy, mixing coffee flavours, brownie, plus milk, white and dark chocolate elements. Sounds lovely.

When will the Pumpkin Spice Latte leave Starbucks until 2023?

Alas, the popular PSL is a seasonal drink, and tends to depart the menu before things start to get Christmassy.

Back in 2021, a spokesperson for the chain told Metro.co.uk that the seasonal fave would only be available that year until ‘early November’.

Starbucks is bringing back the Pumpkin Spice Latte earlier than ever before. The iconic PSL will hit menus on Tuesday, August 27, Starbucks employees told Business Insider and said on social media. That would be the earliest Pumpkin Spice Latte launch that America has ever seen. Typically, the Pumpkin Spice Latte returns right around Labor Day weekend. Last year, the drink launched on August 28.

Pumpkin may seem well suited to Halloween at the end of October – but the PSL is more closely connected to pumpkin pie. 

Pumpkin pie is a staple dessert for the US holiday Thanksgiving, which usually takes place around the end of November. And Starbucks, of course, is originally from Seattle in the States.

We’ve yet to hear an exact date when the PSL will be gone in 2022, but watch this space.
