Ha Rib (Jung Kyoung-Ho) is a popular songwriter and he has written many hit songs. He possesses wealth, prestige and he also holds a secret. His secret is that he is able to write hit songs, because he sold his soul to the devil. The devil is top actor Mo Tae-Kang (Park Sung-Woong). Ha Rib's contract with the devil is soon to be completed, but he learns that his success and fame is the result of taking Lee Kyung’s (Lee Seol) talent and life. Ha Rib struggles to restore his life, Lee Kyung and those around him. In the process, Ha Rib recognizes the essence of life.

Jo Dec 12 2022 2:45 am Enjoyed it overall! Although I thought the ending could’ve been better, Ha Rip became such an asshole of a character at some point but I understand why he did what he did. Ha Rip x Mo Taekang were so fun to watch though!

On the other hand, this drama’s OSTs are So So Good Like Top Tier, I still listen to them to this day even after a year ♡

The Devil's Daughter Nov 28 2021 8:46 am I only watched it this year but I'm really glad I discovered this one. It's such a good drama. I cried with the story of the Devil's secretary and his daughter. Such small screen time but mad me ugly cry. I loved the story, the characters, their relationships and also the ending. I also love all the OST's. When I watch a drama, I only have 1 ost that I actually like but this drama's OST's are all really good and nowI can't stop listening to them. I will miss my Right Atrium and Left Ventricle band. Bye for now. I will watch this again after 2 years....

Also the every actor did a great job <3 honestly a lot of the main casts are new for me.. however this drama is really good!! thankyou to the teams :D and the songs are also really goooood gonna be listening to them after i finished this!!

daiz Jan 04 2021 7:10 pm I found out about this through Song Kang but as I watched through the end...Damn. The drama is just so good and so emotional. It's a whole rollercoaster and the plot is very unique and heart-warming. Even though the characters went through such hardships in their life, they never gave up and still have hopes for a better future. It really stops me from whining about my pathetic life that's not even near as tough as them and gives me motivation to make things better. Also, I really love each characters, especially Lucca. Already missed hearing him speaking Serbian throughout the drama

and when a new song appears it has a meaning to what is going on exactly in that episode which makes you feel even more connected to the drama. it's honestly such a beautiful story. kyung ho and lee seol's performance in this was amazing. loved their chemistry and would describe both their characters as "soulmates"

This drama is awesome till the end. I think it deserves higher ratings. The acting is cool. The theme is unusual and fresh.

Interestingly, there is no single kissing scene. But it doesn't make this drama any less good. Props to the writer!

The only thing that I don't like is, the music scenes are too long. The other is perfect.

This is one of the best 2019 fantasy drama and each person should watch every episode before they rate. Beside the great OST, each character on the drama did very well on their part. The main actor Jung Kyoung Ho and actress Lee Seol perform brilliantly with wonderful chemistry between both of them. Although they were like lovers (without the smooching part) but you can see a strong bond between both of them.

Veteran actor Park Sung Woong & Lee El perform effortlessly as usual.

Each drama has based plot and the writer, director and producer will change slightly according to the whole flow. Don't keep expecting fantasy drama that is lovey dovey only. If all dramas are the same and only to please the audience, then the whole drama will be pretty fake and boring. Actors and actresses are artist themselves and they will bring out their best out of the character in the drama.

There is no perfect drama made for all audiences!

100% recommend watching this series. it's got amazing OSTs and cast. and the story was oh so very unique.

I Gyeong and Ha Rip/Seo Dong Cheon are the best. so happy with the series

He was really depressed with his life and wanted to change his and his son's fate. He signed the deal with the demon's slave and no one was forcing him, that was his first mistake as he changed everyone's fate. Slowly the show progressed and the MC became more greedy and all he thought was about himself and what benefits him and blamed everything on the devil. It was the MC's fault that everyone's life was destroyed. To extend his contract he decided to get a replacement without thinking of what could happen to the other person. Also when his son was dieing he didnt care for the girl and told her that her life is useless and make the contract which was really saddning. Human's are really selfish being. And also the MC was rather a complete jerk as he was the one who was at fault for ruining everyone's future but was blaming the devil. The last two episodes I hope he admits his mistake rather than blaming the devil.

I Love Kdrama Sep 17 2019 3:54 am sorry, watching lead gal depressed life made me more depressed, so I dropped this drama halfway...there's no lovable characters in this drama as well (didn't like the leads as well)....I thought this would be a dark (crime) drama exploring why people would do evil things becos they have sold their soul to the devil, but it seems to be in between fantasy-a little bit of comedy-lots of depression type of drama. It's boring and draggy imho too.

jktm Sep 07 2019 4:12 am I love this drama so much! I started watching it after I finished watching Hotel Del Luna and although both dramas are great, personally I like this one way more. Jung Kyoung Ho is so excelent in this role I cannot imagine anyone else playing this character. The drama has all sorts of elements. There are supernatural stuff, lots of humor, drama, thriller. I love all of it. Seeing the ratings makes me really sad cuz this is not what this drama deserves. Each episode is just so damn entertaining unlike Hotel Del Luna which I found dragging and boring at times (but overall I really loved it and enjoyed it). I really do not understand the ratings at all! If you are considering watching these series give it a shot, you won't be disappointed. And yes, the OSTs are great!

At the moment I'm also watching another fantasy drama where the main character is hundred years old, and considering the same theme in Goblin, Mermaid and Black Knight, I really wish there won't be no romance between that grandpa and Yi Gyeong.

However i was thinking i will watch this drama later after it had reached at least 9-10episodes. Then one fine day while watching some ost-songs on youtube, i saw le seol’s song on Talking to myself- wow...that was it. Such a beautiful heart warming, sad yet an endearing song (later i found out that the real singer is Sondia). I went searching for ep 1 instantly. Le Seol was amazing- she captured me. There’s no turning back. She has this irresistible charm that seems to quietly intrude into you. Yes, i agree...she’s truly good for a rookie. For me, Sometimes, your senses just get to be dulled & routinised bcos you get too much of those ‘pretty’ faces on most k-dramas. I like her everyday yet charming & eye catching features- simple yet attractive. Anyone who wishes to see her good acting should watch le seol in ‘After the Rain... Yes....i’ addicted to ‘Talking to myself’ too & now Sondia’s ‘My Song’. Wow...just too heart rending & addictive

This drama is a complete package; the soundtrack, the promising plot, the character development, etc etc. They have a balanced proportion of thriller and comedy in every episode, enough to keep you wondering what would happen next. Definitely worth to watch!

scarletsungrok Aug 06 2019 7:08 am i kept contemplating on whether i should start this drama or not but im so glad i did, it has honestly everything i would want in a kdrama; the subtle romance, the subtle comedy, the thriller, the unique concept, the netflix-esque vibes, the amazing CGI (it's mind-blowingly rad), the music, the handsome, beautiful, and almost perfectly chosen cast, the subtle yet wholesome life on mars cast reunion, not to mention kyung ho's hair, im absolutely in love with it.

this drama is just, i cant even explain in words how excited this drama makes me feel. if this drama stays just as good as the plot progresses, it will probably become one of my all time favorite dramas, but nonetheless this drama is so great, 10/10 would reccomend to anyone, kdrama fan or not!
