My LO will be six months on Friday, and she still naps in her swing. I read somewhere that after six months they should stop using the swing, but I'm wondering what others are doing? We stopped around 5 months. She was starting to sit up in it and didn’t seem safe. She also didn’t want to go in anymore. You might want to try to get her napping in her crib bc I’ve read that transition gets harder the older they get ♀️ Our LO was napping in rock n play until a month ago and it was a rough couple of weeks getting her to nap but we got there and now things are great (when she’s not sick or teething that is...)
LikeViolation ReportedReport as InappropriateMMLeanneCWe stopping using the swing around 4 months. She preferred the pack and play because she could move around on her own/roll over and wasn’t confined LikeViolation ReportedReport as Inappropriatekksegrave
our LO didn't give us a choice. he straight up refused to be put in it about 2 months ago LikeViolation ReportedReport as Inappropriate0031216
My LO has just turned 6 months and we're still using it. The swing is suitable to 9 months so I'm not in a hurry to pack it away. LikeViolation ReportedReport as Inappropriate''kmeyer284'
We use it from time to time. Mostly when our LO is super fussy and she loves to swing with her paci & lovey. We just make sure to buckle her in and stay close by, but she hasn’t tried to sit up yet so prob won’t put it away until that happens. LikeViolation ReportedReport as Inappropriateddenisehux
There's typically a weight requirement on the swing. I would use that guideline. We had to stop using ours early because my two wanted to sit up and lunge for the mobiles. LikeViolation ReportedReport as Inappropriateiindedaniels87
We stopped about a month ago because we passed it to baby cousin... she did hate going into it and was sitting up so it was time but she had her best naps there. we miss it. LikeViolation ReportedReport as Inappropriatebluebeans18
After the third time we found him on the floor bc he somehow finagled his way out of it, that’s about the time we decided it wasn’t safe any longer. Which honestly sucked bc he napped in it so well. That was just before he turned five months. LikeViolation ReportedReport as Inappropriate''e_morgan'
Just retired ours to the closet as he hadn’t used it really in a couple months. He prefers to be playing on the floor or sleeping in his crib. Makes me sad to think how he’s grown so fast. LikeViolation ReportedReport as Inappropriatehhilaryparce
we stopped using it about a month ago because teddy is a solid 25 lb now and he's too big. we could hear the motor straining when it would swing him. didn't seem safe anymore. Like
