And with that, The View's landmark 25th season has come to an end. The Season 25 finale on August 5 capped an exciting year of Flashback Fridays, a trip to the Bahamas, and a months-long search for a new conservative co-host — one that culminated in the hiring of both Ana Navarro and former Trump staffer Alyssa Farah Griffin.

Though The View's panel is finally set, fans likely have questions about the show's summer hiatus, and what to expect come September. When does The View come back? Who will be on The View Season 26? Here's everything you need to know about The View's summer break:

Is The View on summer hiatus 2022?

You bet it is! On Friday, August 5, The View aired its final live show of Season 25. The co-hosts will have a few weeks off for some well-deserved R&R before returning in the fall.

While The View is technically on during its regular time slot (weekdays at 11/10c), viewers will be watching re-runs of episodes that aired live earlier in the season.

Over the course of the next few weeks, ABC will air encore presentations of select episodes, including those featuring guest co-hosts Lindsey Granger and Tara Setmayer, a reunion of the show's original panel, and the week of Bahamas-set shows.

The View is expected to return from hiatus on Tuesday, September 6, the day after Labor Day.

Who are The View Season 26 hosts?

During the penultimate show of the season, The View announced Alyssa Farah Griffin, who served as the White House Director of Special Communications under President Donald Trump, had won the conservative seat vacated last summer by Meghan McCain.

Though Griffin has distanced herself from Trump since leaving the administration, her hiring was not without controversy. Wanda Sykes reportedly bailed on an appearance upon learning that Griffin would be at the table, while fans launched a #BoycottTheView campaign when reports of her hiring first surfaced in late July.

But that's not the only surprise The View has in store for Season 26: Ana Navarro, the show's most frequent guest co-host (she even has her own intro in the opening credits), has also been named an official host. As part of a multi-year agreement with ABC, Navarro will appear on the show several days a week, flying between New York and her home in Miami.

Did The View get canceled?

25 years into its run, The View is nowhere near getting canceled.

In fact, the show has dominated its counterparts over the past year, ranking No. 1 in households and total viewers among the daytime network talk shows and news programs and averaging 2.309 million total viewers during the week of July 25.
