No Man's Sky has received a mixed response from players, with a review score of only 6/10 on Steam, compared to a 9/10 on Game Spot. Whilst some players have enjoyed the creativity of the game, as well as its graphics and storyline, others have criticized its tedious mechanics and game design.

No Man’s Sky is a survival game set in space, where players take on the role of a character from either a first or third-person perspective. The character, named ‘The Traveller’, is trying to find his lost spaceship, but on the way is contacted by an alien ‘Artemis’ and is sent on a mission to uncover the secrets of this character and the mysteries of the universe.

The game was developed by Hello Games and first released on 9th August 2016. Initially only available on PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Window, access has since been extended to Xbox one from July 2018.

No Man's Sky Save Game Location

There are many reasons why you may wish to access your save game files in No Man's Sky, these may include:

• Creating a backup in case your saves are corrupted, or to return to at a later point in time
• Sharing save files with friends, so that they can play on your save
• Transferring saves to a new or different computer, so that you can keep your progress

Regardless of your reasons for needing to access your NMS saves, you can find them at this folder:

%AppData%\HelloGames\NMS

Inside this folder, there will be a folder named DefaultUser or st_ followed by some numbers. Inside these, you can find your saves. If you're not sure which save is which, look at the last modified date (the last modified date will be the same as the last time you saved your game).

If you need help accessing the above path, just follow these steps:

1. Open a Run window - you can do this by pressing WINDOWS + R or right clicking the start menu button (bottom left hand corner of your screen) and clicking Run
2. Paste %AppData%\HelloGames\NMS into the text field
3. Click OK
4. That's it!
