To determine the places around the US that offer 70 degrees year-round, we looked through all of the recent weather and climate data from the official database of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Then, we looked for cities and states with an average high of at least 70 degrees that is sustained throughout the whole year.

Of course, since it is only an average, it is not actually 70 degrees every single month. The hotter summer months balance out the cooler winter months.

But, we made sure to include places that have mild winters to help you find places to move to that feel warm throughout the whole year.

After all of our research, we found that there are only two states that have an average high of at least 70 degrees:

1. Hawaii – 85.0 °F
2. Florida – 70.7 °F

Louisiana (66.4 °F) and Texas (64.8 °F) just missed the 70 degree cutoff.

In Florida, the average high in December and January is around 65-67 degrees, while the summers can produce average highs of 90+ degrees across the state.

Meanwhile, in Hawaii, the average highs in December and January are usually 82-83 degrees, while the summer months are around 85-88 degrees.

Therefore, Hawaii is the state to be for people looking for the most consistent warm weather all year round.

There are also many major cities that offer great weather throughout the whole year. Here is a list of the top 10 cities that have an average of 70 degrees year-round:

10. Las Vegas

Residents in Las Vegas experience average highs of 80.5 degrees for the whole year. Winter months can dip down to average highs of 55-60 degrees, while the summer can bring temperatures of over 110 degrees.

9. Houston

The weather in Houston averages around 80.5 degrees for the year. During the winter, average highs are still around 63-65 degrees, while the summer months can reach up to 95 degrees on average.

8. Phoenix

The average temperature in Phoenix throughout the whole year is 87.1 degrees. During the winter, the average highs are around 67 degrees, while summers in Phoenix are some of the hottest in the nation, with temperatures that can soar above 115 degrees.

7. Los Angeles

Everyone moves to LA for the weather. The average high throughout the year is 75 degrees. It is a bit cooler in the winter, with average highs around 67 degrees, but the summer makes up for it with temperatures reaching up to 100 degrees.

6. Tucson

In Tucson, the yearly average high temperature is around 84 degrees. Its coldest month is December, where average highs reach around 66 degrees. During the summer, temperatures get to an average high of 100-110 degrees.

5. Tampa

Tampa offers great weather all year-round, with an average of 83 degrees for its average highs. Tampa’s coldest month is January, with average highs still around 71 degrees. Meanwhile, its summers peak at around an average high of 95 degrees.

4. San Diego

San Diego is almost perfect weather-wise throughout the whole year. Its average high is 71 degrees, which is a bit lower than the other places on this list, but with a lot less rain and humidity.

In the winter, the average high temperatures are about 66 degrees, while the summers are a lot more manageable, reaching an average high of 90 degrees.

3. Orlando

Orlando offers some of the most mild climates in the mainland of the US. Its average high temperature is 83 degrees. During the winter, the average highs are still roughly 71 degrees in Orlando, while the summer months get up to about 90-95 degrees.

2. Miami

Miami’s average high for the year is 84.2 degrees. Its coldest month is January, where the average highs are still around 76 degrees. Meanwhile, summers in South Florida are a manageable 90-95 degrees on average.

1. Honolulu

Honolulu has the most consistent warm weather all year-round. For the year, it averages 85 degrees. Winter months experience a high of 80 degrees, while summer months can reach up to 90 degrees.

Even its average lows are quite warm, which are still around 65-70 degrees.
