Marc Leishman was born on the 24th of October 1983 in Warrnambool, Victoria.

As an amateur he won the 2001 Victorian Junior Masters, 2001 Victorian Boys Championship, 2001 South Australian Junior Masters and 2005 Lake Macquarie Amateur.

Marc turned pro in 2005 and joined the PGA Tour in 2009.

In 2009 he won the PGA Tour Rookie of the Year award. He was the first Australian to win the award.

Marc Leishman won his first PGA Tournament, the Travelers Championship, in 2012. His total score was 266 (-14). Runners up were Charley Hoffman and Bubba Watson 1 shot behind.

He won the 2017 Arnold Palmer Invitational with a total score of 277 (-11). Runners up were Charley Hoffman and Kevin Kisner 1 stroke behind.

He won the 2017 BMW Championship with a total score of 261 (-23). Runners up were Rickie Fowler and Justin Rose 5 shots behind.

He won the 2018 CIMB Classic with a total score of 261 (-26). Runners up were Bronson Burgoon Emiliano Grillo and Chesson Hadley 5 shots behind.

He won the 2020 Farmers Insurance Open with a total score of 273 (-15). Runner up was Jon Rahm 1 shot behind.

He won the 2021 Zurich Classic of New Orleans, with playing partner Cameron Smith, in a playoff against Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel.

Up to 2022 his total career earnings were $35,422,977.

Marc competed in the 2020 olympic games.
