Where is the plug-in located on my computer?

On Windows:

• VST Plug-in: The location of the VST plug-in can be choosen during the installation.

           The default location is:            [64bit] C:\Program Files(x86)\Vstplugins            [32bit] C:\Program Files\Vstplugins

           Some DAW modify this default location path.

• RTAS Plug-in: C:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Digidesign\DAE\Plug-ins\

• AAX Plug-in (PT 10): C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins

• AAX Plug-in (PT 11 or higher): C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins

 

On Mac OS:

• VST Plug-in: Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/
• VST3 Plug-in: Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/

• AU Plug-in: Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/

• RTAS Plug-in: Library/Application Support/Digidesign/Plug-Ins/
