Where is The Witcher season 2 filmed?
The backdrop of The Witcher was stunning in the first series with filming taking place all over the world.
From Budapest and the Czech Republic to Gran Canaria and Austria, the cast and crew travelled to get the perfect scenery for the show.
However, this did not happen for the second series of The Witcher.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the production company of the Netflix series wasn't able to film abroad.

So, instead, filming for season two took place around the United Kingdom.
The crew spent around five months filming for the series, much of which was spent in Cumbria, in and around the beautiful Lake District.
Some of the locations included Hodge Close Quarry, the Rydal Caves and the Lake of Blea Tarn.
Another key location was Ilkley Moor in Yorkshire which has the Cow and Calf, a large rock formation that's popular with climbing enthusiasts.

Filming also took place further south in Surrey where Cavill was spotted in full costume at Frensham Little Pond.
The town was also recreated by Netflix at Arborfield Studios in Wokingham which was also the home of Disney’s Aladdin live-action remake.
When the cast and crew left Yorkshire, Cavill posted on Instagram: "Thank you for hosting all of us on season 2 of The Witcher.
"Hopefully I shall return to your hills, dales and fells soon. Stay strong and stay safe, my friends."
