What is Bentonite Clay?

If you have used activated charcoal on your face, you’ve certainly heard of bentonite clay. Bentonite clay, also known as Sodium Bentonite or Montmorillonite, is a clay that is mined from the earth, and it’s formed after volcanic ash has weathered and aged in the presence of water.
