Candy appears on the Fortnite island during Fortnitemares - the game's annual Halloween event.

Finding candy locations and then eatting said candy in Fortnite will grant you a variety of boosts, which may help you take out - or escape - enemy players.

Along with the return of the Pumpkin Launcher, there's also a new collection of Fortnitemares quests in Chapter 4 Season 4 to complete that require you to use Candy in the future.

Where to find candy in Fortnite explained

There are a few ways to currently find Candy in Fortnite:

  • Interact with buckets and pumpkins full of Candy
  • Get the 'Trick or Treat' Augment
  • Ring doorbells
  • Defeat guards
  • Take down bosses

The easiest, most common way to get candy is to search buckets and pumpkins, but ringing doorbells is also a solid method if you happen to be in an area with houses.

You can destroy sweet buckets to find candy.

If you luck out and get the 'Trick or Treat' Augment, you'll not only get Candy, but every time you eliminate a guard or boss, they drop even more Candy! You also get more shields when consuming Candy if this Augment is active. It's a real treat.

Speaking of treats, there are four types of Candy in Fortnitemares 2023:

  • Candy Corn
  • Hop Drop
  • Jelly Bean
  • Peppermint

Eating each type of Candy gives you a different effect. For example, Hop Drops give a temporary low gravity effect when consumed. So get eating if you want to try out each Candy's unique effects before they're vaulted again

Don't forget - the Pumpkin Launcher has also returned this Fortnitemares! A perfect weapon for taking your enemies out Halloween-style, and also might be required for completing Fortnitemares challenges in the future.
