There are a few areas in Obsidian Fieldlands that players can look for a Pichu in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. However, Pichu also has a low spawn rate, so players may need to search for a while.

There are 13 baby Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus that players can find and catch, including Pichu. Each of the baby Pokémon have evolution requirements, and players looking to evolve their Pichu will first need to increase their friendship level. To increase friendship quickly, players will need to win battles with Pichu and use it to gather crafting materials. When the friendship level is high enough, players can elect to evolve Pichu into Pikachu by selecting the evolve option in the menu.

Before players can evolve Pichu, they'll need to find one. At the beginning of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, players will be taken to Jubilife Village. If players are having trouble locating Pichu in Obsidian Fieldlands, they can also search the Golden Lowlands of Crimson Mirelands.

Strategies for Catching Pichu in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Players can search for Pichu in Floara Gardens, Nature's Pantry, and Golden Lowlands, but the areas may need to be reset a few times. Players can rest at a camp or return to Jubilife Village in Pokémon Legends: Arceus to reset the available Pokémon in an area. Alternatively, players can catch, scare away, or knock out any nearby Pokémon to get new ones to spawn until they find a Pichu.

Pichu is easily spooked and will run away if players don't approach it carefully in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. The best way to catch Pichu is to crouch and move slowly towards it until players are close enough to throw a Poké Ball at it. Pichu is likely to run if players get too close, so catching it from a distance when it's turned around and unaware will work best.

If Pichu isn't caught right away, players can try to throw another Poké Ball before it runs. Pichu may also engage in battle, so players can drain its health, then try to catch it. Once Pichu is caught, players can work on increasing their friendship level with it so it can evolve. Pichu can also be kept as a baby Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, because it won't evolve automatically.
