Where To Get Brenderup Trailer Service?

Brenderup horse trailers are known for their light-weight, ease of use. Over the years the company acquired a big following and a lot of loyal fans. So it was a little shocking to a lot of customers when Brenderup stopped distributing the horse trailers in USA in 2011. This left a lot of owners with nowhere to turn for service and parts. The horse trailers seemed to sell very well, so it was a little bit of a mystery for a lot folks as to why the company stopped its production and distribution.

Many speculate the shutter was due to the safety liabilities, as many of the trailers weren’t built (or suitable) for our roads here in America, the lack of horse trailer sales or knowledge, and the eventual buyout by Thule, who specializes in trailers for utility (not horses and livestock).

Brenderup, formerly known and operated under its own company, was purchased by Thule, a bigger general camper and trailer company that does not specialize in horse trailers.

In 2015, however, a press release was made regarding the acquisition of Brenderup Horse trailers to Swedish company, Ronbe AB:

“1st of September 2015 –  Jönköping, Sweden From September 1st 2015 Ronbe AB is acquiring the horse trailer product portfolio from Brenderup Group.. With acquisition of the horse trailer product portfolio from Brenderup Group, Ronbe AB will broaden their portfolio and expanding the business at the local facilities in Lagan”.  Just recently we serviced a customer’s Brenderup trailer and we were astounded by the response online from other customers who were seeking new floors, doors and repairs for their Brenderup trailers.

Although the Brenderup brand and quality will be continued with Ronbe AB, the trailers are still not sold here in US. Here at Connecticut Trailers, we are proud to say we service Brenderup trailers, along with so many other trailer brands, whether we sell them or not.
