I got the increased chance to unlock new parts instead of the refinery recipe for this. Mildly regretting it now because it's hard to find these in weapons. Is there a certain faction that has more weapons using this than others? Also, I find it odd that the Thamaskene Steel Pike does not give thamaskene steel. < > Showing 1-3 of 3 comments Marty Chonks View Profile View Posts 16 Jun, 2020 @ 3:41pm Sadly there is no cheap or abundant sources for thamaskene. Most 10 thousand+ swords having "thamaskene" in the name can be smelt into it, but they are rare. The easiest way is to buy "pugio" in imperial towns, smelt it for fine steel and use the fine steel to make thamaskene from it. If your char can't do it cuz u didn't chose that perk, take an able companion and make him into smith (if you already unlocked some great parts and can craft expensive weapons, you can level anyone up to 100 skill in no time). #1 Silamon View Profile View Posts 16 Jun, 2020 @ 3:46pm You can have a companion train smithing and take the other perks on them, that's what I did.My character has all the faster unlock and chance to make better weapon perks, companion has all the steel smithing perks. #2 Rigsie View Profile View Posts 16 Jun, 2020 @ 7:27pm There's almost no reason not to go ahead and train all your companions in smithing. It advances quickly and allows them to level easily for a while, then you use the skills to produce weapons that sell for ridiculous amounts. My two cents.... But yeah, thamaskene? You make it.... #3 < > Showing 1-3 of 3 comments Per page: 1530 50 Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord > [EN] General Discussions > Topic Details Date Posted: 16 Jun, 2020 @ 3:32pmPosts: 3 Discussions Rules and Guidelines Close
