Where To Go Ice Skating In Singapore: Quick Rink Guide
Maybe your like
When you need a bite-sized break from the heat outside, ice skating makes for a fun (and sometimes funny!) afternoon for the whole brood. Our sunny little isle currently has two top-notch spots for busting a move on the ice right now. We checked out both for this handy mini-guide to ‘chilling out’ in Singapore.

The Rink
Spanning 1,800 square metres, Singapore’s first Olympic-sized rink offers more than just a casual spin on the ice. Whether you’re a wobbly first-timer or a seasoned skater ready for some impressive tricks, they have lessons to meet each skill level. If watching ice sports gives you a rush, they also regularly host tournaments for hockey, broomball, speed skating and ice curling. Our favourite activity here? Two words: DISCO SKATING. The rink heats up with a skate party every Friday and Saturday night, where you can glide to flashing lights and groovy tunes.
What to bring: Pad up with warm but breathable clothing, thick calf-length socks and gloves. If you own ice skates and prefer them to rented ones, pack them too. Otherwise, you can rent everything you need from The Rink, from sturdy Italian skate boots in all sizes, to adorable penguin and seal skating aids for beginners young and old.
Price: $12 (child) and $14 (adult) for a 2-hour session. Location: Level 3, JCube, 2 Jurong East Central 1 Contact: 6684 2374
Kallang Ice World
With its ice-covered surface, Kallang Ice World allows not only for some casual ice-skating fun, but is also a spot where you can book parties and ice-skating classes that cover everyone from beginners to more experienced skaters. Opening hours are Sunday to Thursday, 10am to 10pm, and 10am to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
What to bring: Bringing your own skates isn’t allowed, but do remember to wear cushioned socks – renting a pair costs $6 (almost as much as admission!).
Price: $15 (child), $16.50 (student), and $17.50 (adult) for two-hour sessions. Skate rental is included. Location: 5 Stadium Walk (close to Stadium MRT on the Circle Line) Contact: 6348 1347 | 6344 5155
