E-Waste Recycling Programmes for Individuals / Households
As an individual or as part of a household, you are encouraged to make use of e-waste recycling programmes voluntarily offered by industry stakeholders. Simply drop off your e-waste at the recycling points to properly recycle your e-waste. Trading or donation of used goods in working condition can be performed at these Collection Centres.

Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Scheme for E-wasteA regulated e-waste management system, based on the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) approach, has commenced from 1 July 2021. Under the system, producers bear the responsibility for the collection and treatment of their products when they reach end-of-life. The EPR Scheme for E-waste has been implemented through the Resource Sustainability Act (RSA), administered by the NEA.ALBA E-waste Smart Recycling Pte Ltd ("ALBA") has been appointed as the Producer Responsibility Scheme (PRS) Operator to collect regulated consumer electrical and electronic waste across Singapore for proper treatment and recycling on behalf of producers.Where to Recycle:
- E-waste recycling bins deployed by ALBA across Singapore in public areas such as town centres, shopping malls, government buildings, Residents’ Committee Centres, community centres, supermarkets and retail outlets
- Retailer in-store collection service (via a bin or over-the-counter collection), which is open to the public to dispose of their e-waste1, with or without the purchase of any product or service from the retailer.1Members of the public can deposit regulated ICT equipment, bulb/lamps and batteries of any brand or model at the e-waste recycling bins placed at retail outlets supplying products of the same type as the e-waste accepted by the bin.
- E-waste collection drives held in residential areas on a quarterly basis for residents to drop off their e-waste (refer to ALBA's website or ALBA STEP UP mobile app for the schedule).
- Free one-for-one takeback of unwanted regulated consumer product of the same type upon delivery by retailers (e.g. free takeback of unwanted washing machine upon delivery of a new one by the retailer)
- Bulky items removal service provided by town councils
- Doorstep collection provided by ALBA (refer to ALBA's website or ALBA STEP UP mobile app for the fees)

ALBA's e-bins
The following types of e-wastes can be disposed at ALBA's e-bins. Bulky e-waste that do not fit into bin's openings are not to be placed outside the bin. Please do not dispose any batteries into general bins or blue recycling bins. To reduce the risk of short-circuits and creation of fire hazard, please tape the ends or wires of rechargeable batteries and seal any leaking batteries in leak-proof container/bag before recycling them.

The following types of e-wastes accepted at ALBA's collection events and through ALBA's doorstep collection service.
- ICT equipment (Printers, power banks, computers & laptops, mobile phones & tablets, network & set-top boxes, desktop monitors).
- Large household appliances (Air-conditioners, dryers, refrigerators, televisions, washing machines)
- Electric mobility devices (Personal mobility devices, power-assisted bicycles, electric mobility scooters).
- Batteries (AA, AAA, AAAA, D, C, 9-volt, Button Cell, standalone rechargeable batteries, electric vehicle batteries).
- Light Bulbs, long or circular fluorescent/LED tubes.
Metalo International Pte Ltd has organised an e-waste recycling programme at 24 Shell petrol kiosks for e-waste.

- Telephone (home, office), calculator, clocks, CCTV

- Headphones, earbuds, air-pods, camera, projector, Bluetooth speaker
- Home systems (sound systems: amplifier, speaker, woofer, sound bar)
- Thumb drive, portable hard disk, PCB board, SD cards
- Rice cooker, electric kettle, hair dryer and straightener, air fryer
- Fan, vacuum cleaner
- Small medical equipment (blood pressure monitor, blood glucose monitor)
