Red Dead Online's hunting system greatly differers from the single-player version, and how you go about selling pelts isn't excluded from that. If you're looking for the Red Dead Online Trapper locations.

Red Dead Online Trapper Inventory

The Trapper has a variety of outfits, clothing, items, and equipment that he can craft if given the right materials. Some require pelts from Legendary Animals as well as perfect skins and carcasses from other animals in the world.

In order to meet the necessary requirements, you must first sell the required pelts, hides and carcasses to the Trapper. Afterward, you'll find the Trapper will have the required ingredients to craft your chosen item - for a fee of course.
