Where To Stay In Zion National Park: Best Hotels Near Springdale

Springdale is our favorite place to stay near Zion National Park. Why? Because it’s a great town with a chilled outdoorsy vibe, excellent hotels and quality restaurants. But it’s also expensive. We think La Verkin and Hurricane are the best options for cheaper lodging, and Virgin is best for unique accommodations like glamping.

In this guide we walk you through each of the places you can stay close to Zion, based on our own experiences. We start inside the park and then cover each place from closest to furthest from Zion. Let’s begin!

Where have we stayed? Holiday Inn Express and Best Western Plus in Springdale, Hotel Zion Inn and La Quinta in La Verkin, Fairfield Inn in Virgin, Sleep Inn in Hurricane, Zion Lodge (the only park-run lodging inside the main canyon) and Watchman Campground. Where should you stay? Well, we think Springdale will be the best place to stay on a first visit to Zion National Park for most visitors. But take a closer look at Virgin if you’re looking for a romantic experience under the stars. For us, La Verkin and Hurricane are only worth considering if you’re visiting on a tight budget because they’re a 30 minute drive from the main canyon.
