For the hardcore crafters, there is a new high-level Beast Tribe quest. This stars the Dwarves of Kholusia, hard-drinking and foul-mouthed versions of Lalafell from the First Shard. Not only is this a fun storyline, but offers quick leveling and aesthetically pleasing rewards.
Unlocking the Dwarf Beast Tribe in Final Fantasy XIV
The Beast Tribe unlocks after a long series of quests. First, players will need to be level 78 in a combat job and finish the main story quest Meet the Tholls in Kholusia. This will unlock a level 70 side quest chain from the NPC Beott at X: 12.5, Y: 9 starting with A Disagreeable Dwarf and continuing with Almost a Friend, A Practiced Greeting, and Learning to Lailo-ho. In addition, another quest chain from Eueliss at X: 15.3, Y: 28.7 must be completed. This includes Village of Woe, Talos Interrupted, The Cape in Bloom, and Wright for the Job. These questlines will then merge together through the NPC Ronitt at X: 13, Y: 8 for the epilogue quest Ronitt to the Rescue.
The Player will now need to switch to a level 70 or above Disciple of the Hand and start the quest It’s Dwarfin Time from the Affable Towndwarf at X:15.8, Y: 30.2. The end of the quest will bring players to Lakeland, where the Dwarves will set up shop and Regitt will hand out daily quests.
Daily Quest Limits and Rewards in Final Fantasy XIV
One can only accept 3 Dawrven daily quests each day, and 12 total quests from all Beast Tribes. Because of this, players should be mindful to concentrate on the four tribes they care most about advancing or gaining rewards. A day begins at 00:01 GMT+9 (Japanese midnight), so adjust to your location. Also, if any Beast Tribe daily quests are held to the next day they will need to be completed before NPCs issue new quests.
Quests require a minimum of level 70 and sync in difficulty to the specific job. Unlike earlier Moogle quests from Heavensward, players cannot “cheat” and craft items from a higher job and turn them in for rewards on a lower-end one. EXP rewards adjust to the synced level, however, this will likely be up to the Shadowbringers cap of 80, and may be penalized when 6.0 is released. For perspective, the Namazu Beast Tribe quests yielded fantastic EXP during Stormblood, but gave abysmal returns once jobs could reach level 71.
Reputation
The pool of quests Regitt has depends on the relationship with the Dwarves. 7 unique ones will be available at the base Friendly level, and 7 more will unlock on each tier of Trusted, Respected, and Honored. Each daily quest rewards 60 reputation. When the reputation gauge is maxed, Ronit will have story quests to unlock the next tier. These include A Piss in the Brewery, I Heard You Like Tanks, Tanking is Hard, Chief Concerns, and Tanks for the Memory. Along with EXP and Gil, completing these quests will temporarily raise the daily quest limit to 6 for that day.
Hammered Frogment
Outside of the standard quest rewards, Regitt will also pass along Hammer Frogment currency unique to the Dwarves. These can be traded to Mizutt for various items. At first, they will offer Slithersand used for crafting and grade 7 and 8 crafting materia. At Trusted they will add the Lalinator 5.0 minion; the Ironfrog Keeper furniture at Respected; Dwarven Floor Lamp and Watt’s Anvil orchestrion roll at Honored; Rolling Tankard mount at Sworn; and finally the Lali Hop emote and Watt’s Sketches poster at Bloodsworn.

Still, the investment will be worth it to level up Disciple of Hand crafting jobs to their current maximum.
