After being delayed for over a year, the latest installment of the Fast and Furious franchise finally came out on June 25th. It's a loud and wild one from Justin Lin, the director who helped turn the Fast franchise into a multi-billion dollar action juggernaut. Han is back! They go to space. SPACE! And John Cena play's Dom's...long lost brother?!

But if you've become accustomed to ponying up money to be able to stream theatrical releases from the comfort of your home during the pandemic, with microwave popcorn and an ice cold beer in hand as you might have done with big releases like Mulan and Soul on Disney +, you won't be able to do that with F9, unfortunately.

But F9 is really a movie that's worth seeing in a theater with a big group of people, if that's where your comfort level is at. It really invites crowd participation. It's one of the few big budget spectacles where they almost want you to laugh at some of the over the top action. See it in IMAX if you can. And if you can get to one that serves ice cold Coronas, all the better.

Either way, you should brush up on all your Fast and Furious movies now. Coronas optional, but highly recommended. Fortunately for you, the first two are available on HBO Max right now.
