Where To Watch NDP Fireworks 2022: Bursts Of Colours In The Sky

Fireworks are always a highlight of each year’s National Day Parade. This is no different for the National Day Parade 2024. Get the best vantage point from prime spots, do go early to get the best seats as these spots can get filled pretty quickly.

In fact, there are more opportunities for the public to enjoy a NDP fireworks 2024 in the heartlands too. Find out where you can enjoy the NDP fireworks display this year.

National Day Parade Fireworks 2024

For the National Day Parade 2024, you can of course expect fireworks at The Padang. This display caps off an evening of celebrations and is always one that draws out “oohs” and “aahs” from the crowd at the parade.

Marina Bay Sands Observation Deck

The top floor of Marina Bay Sands hotel is 57 storeys up in the air with commanding vistas over the city. Hotel guests can access the observation deck for free, while visitors need to purchase tickets to enter from Tower 3. From the northern side of the SkyPark Observation Deck, you can view the waters of the Marina Bay Reservoir along with prominent landmarks such as Merlion Park, Esplanade, National Gallery Singapore, Victoria Concert Hall and the Singapore River. The backdrop to these landmarks is the urban sprawl of the city.

Marina Barrage

This is one obvious choice particularly for picnicking families and folks who love to fly their kites. Admire the skyline with an unblocked view (except perhaps other people’s heads) of the fireworks in the distance.

Gardens by the Bay’s Bay East Garden Bay East Garden lies beside the Kallang Basin, across the water from Gardens by the Bay’s major attractions such as the Supertrees and Cooled Conservatories. This is a less crowded spot to watch the fireworks, but also a little more hassle to get to. Find a spot facing the Singapore Flyer and Marina Bay Sands to see the spectacular fireworks against the icons at National Day Parade 2024.

The Lawn at Marina Bay Financial Centre

Located across the Promontory at Marina Bay, the lawn is a comfortable spot for the fireworks. However, it is also a very popular spot. Do note that there are ticketed celebrations at the Promontory. Audiences around the Marina Bay area can expect to see the longest distance Presidential Gun Salute sail-past as the Mobility 3rd Generation raft arrives in the Marina Bay area for the Presidential Gun Salute.

Audiences will also be able to see the ‘Salute to the Nation’ bomb burst, the State Flag Flypast as the CH-47SD/F carrying the State Flag, and escorted by two AH-64D Apache Attack Helicopters, head towards the Padang, the High-Speed chase, and the Red Lions as they make their descent into the Padang.

Faber Peak

Atop Mount Faber is a less crowded option to view the fireworks. While it is further away from the main area with celebrations, it is a quieter spot to enjoy the fireworks that mark the finale of the National Day Parade.

High Street Centre Carpark

This non-descript building is just across the road from the colourful Ministry of Communications and Information building. It might be an odd choice to view fireworks but getting to the fifth storey of the carpark is where the magic happens. You’ve even got the Parliament House and the National Gallery of Singapore as part of the view.

Esplanade Roof Terrace

Head to the top of the Esplanade where the roof terrace is. Here, you can get a panoramic view of Marina Bay. However it is a known spot for seasoned photographers, so arriving early is important.

Merlion Park, Esplanade Bridge, Jubilee Bridge

These hot spots are definitely the top spots that many flock to. Head early to catch the parade since these are nearly front row seats to the action taking place in the air and the waters. You will also be enjoying fantastic views of the fireworks.

Helix Bridge & Benjamin Sheares Bridge

Although NDP 2024 is not held at The Float, these bridges are still great for fireworks, the aircrafts, State Flag Flypast and Presidential Gun Salute sail-past.

Funan Mall rooftop

For a more exclusive spot on 9 August, you can head to Funan Mall rooftop by spending a minimum of $150 at participating stores in Funan and CQ @ Clarke Quay from 1-7 August 2024. Eligible shoppers will receive an eVoucher in their CapitaStar wallet with a google form link to indicate their interest. First 120 shoppers that submit the form will receive a confirmation email to the fireworks viewing party by 8 August 2024. The email will include access for two pax and additional two kids, with a complimentary $5 coupon for F&B booths.

Fireworks in the Heartlands

There are also opportunities to catch the fireworks displays at the heartlands on 10 August! There will be multiple displays – five heartland locations to be exact. These can be found all over Singapore and they are:

• Central: open field opposite Circle Line MRT station
• Northeast: open field beside Waterway Point in Punggol
• Northwest: open field beside Futsal Arena at Yishun
• Southwest: open field next to Buona Vista MRT station
• Southeast: open field next to Paya Lebar Quarter 1
