You tell them about your crush all the time. They however secretly have a crush on that person too... Now...Today is the day that you're finally able to confess your feelings to them after years of struggle, dreams, and practice. You told your friend that you would do this today. You walk into school/work/etc and see that your friend is talking to the person you like and they asked them out. Your crush says yes and they walk off together talking.
