Who Is Celine Dion's Eldest Child René-Charles Angélil?

Named after his dad, René-Charles A.K.A. RC was born via in vitro fertilization in 2001. Before that, his mother underwent two operations to help with her fertility. In 2007, RC made headlines due to controversial paparazzi photos of him with his famous parents. It led to Ellen DeGeneres making comments about his long hair during an awkward interview with Dion. "It seems like you're busy with something, 'cause you're forgetting to cut your son's hair," said the now-canceled host. "Look at him. He is beautiful, but look at his hair. When are you going to cut that hair?"

The singer responded: "Do you have a problem with that? Whatever I will do, I won't please everyone. But something that I can reassure every mother here, the long hair… Do you know that René-Charles makes his own decisions most of the time? … When he's ready, I'll cut it." She added that even if she did, the media wouldn't be satisfied anyway. "And when I cut it, they'll say, 'Oh you know what? It's a little short," she continued.

Like his mother, René-Charles also has a knack for music. In 2018, he was a huge Soundcloud artist who released his own hip-hop music under the name Big Tip. He was only 17. He made covers of The Weeknd's songs, Sidewalks and Loft Music, as well as three original tracks about the passing of his father in 2016. On Catwalk, he raps that he "ran out of tears when I was 16." But as of this writing, it appears that RC has already deleted his Soundcloud account.

Who Are Celine Dion's Twins Eddy & Nelson Angélil?

A decade after RC was born, Dion told ABC News that she and her husband were trying to conceive again. "I've always been an open book. My way for me to deal with my own situation is that I take one step at a time," she told the program in 2010. "It's something very beautiful when you want to conceive and when you want to be parents again, when you want to be blessed again. And for me to share this is about also bonding with other women that are going through the same thing." However, she also revealed that she had a miscarriage before having her twins, Eddy and Nelson.

"It's priceless. So you know what? We had a miscarriage," the singer continued. "We tried three more times. It did not work. ... We are trying again for the fifth try. It's aboard right now. All aboard." Dion gave birth to the twins in October that year. Eddy was named after Dion's first-ever producer, Eddy Marnay who produced her first five albums. "Eddy is a major influence in both Céline and René’s lives," a representative for the I'm Alive singer told People at the time.

Meanwhile, Nelson was named after Nelson Mandela whom the singer met when she performed in South Africa. "René said that in just the few minutes they were able to spend with him, they were impressed by the human being he is," the insider explained. In 2020, Dion posted a throwback photo of the twins as birthday tribute. "Nelson and Eddy, you have been bringing so much joy, love and laughter into our lives every single day for the past 10 years," she wrote in the caption. "You make me, your big brother and your Dad, who is for sure watching over you, so very proud. Happy birthday my beautiful boys! We love you so very much..."
