Who Does Clayton Echard Choose? - 'The Bachelor' Finale Spoilers

Clayton Echard’s season of The Bachelor is ending this week, and honestly after #ShrimpGate2022, I didn’t think this season could get more wild. But Clayton and the Bachelor producers have apparently made a fool out of me, because the way this finale is set up, things apparently get RIDICULOUS. Remember when we all thought Clayton’s season was going to be as thrilling as watching paint dry? LOL, that was cute.

We already have the deets on how this Bachelor season has gone so far, but we know you want the spoilers before the final episodes air tonight and tomorrow. And even though creator and producer Mike Fleiss called Clayton’s finale “spoiler proof,” we still managed to learn a thing or two about how it all unfolds. So here’s every ounce of available tea on how Clayton’s season will end!

So, when it comes to finale spoilers, here’s what we know:

Clayton *does* find love

He even said so himself...and on one of the biggest morning shows in the world, no less. Back in December 2021, Clayton told Good Morning America, "I did find love. I was a little skeptical going into the whole journey, but I’m so pleasantly surprised that things worked out much different than I thought. Again, I’m just so excited to watch it back and have everyone else watch it as well.”

But Clayton doesn't get engaged

Initially, Steve said he was certain of about three things regarding Clayton’s finale, one of them being that Clayton’s season didn’t have the “traditional” ending where the lead and final lady get engaged. Steve also said he was told from sources that Clayton “was NOT with Rachel” and “there was no finality to the season in Iceland.”

That all checks out because...

Clayton falls for one of the final three, but he’s ultimately rejected over his playboy behavior

Clayton apparently fell hard, but get this: He was rejected. And who was this lady walking away, you ask? That would be Susie Evans. YES. Everyone thought Susie self-eliminated and left Gabby and Rachel as the final two, but in reality, the producers just worked lots of ~TV magic~ to make those promos look spoiler-proof.

According to Steve, here’s the deal: “Susie is convinced to stay, and at the final rose ceremony, she rejects Clayton’s proposal, and Clayton left Iceland single.”

The ultimate order of events according to Reality Steve goes:

• Susie walks away.
• Clayton talks to Gabby and Rachel and convinces them each to stay, giving them roses.
• Gabby and Rachel meet Clayton’s parents.
• Clayton talks to Susie one more time and convinces her to stay.
• Susie meets Clayton’s parents;
• Clayton chooses Susie and breaks up with both Gabby and Rachel.
• On final rose ceremony day, Susie says she’s not in love and leaves Clayton.
• Clayton leaves Iceland single as a pringle.

Wowowowow. Who would have saw that coming? Maybe this is the most dramatic season ever.

Clayton is likely still single

After Susie rejected him, Reality Steve speculates that the pair called it a hard quits and aren’t dating right now. He doesn’t think Clayton is dating Gabby or Rachel either. Steve explained, “Nothing I’ve been told recently makes me believe Clayton is anything other than single. I’d find it hard to believe [Susie] rejected his proposal but then changed her mind and they’ve been seeing each other ever since on Happy Couple weekends. That would be news to me. And as for Gabby and Rachel, again, I’ve been told they have no part of the ending, nor is he trying to date either one of them post show. If there’s anything happening post show with any of the women, it’d be with Susie, but I don’t see it, nor has it ever been mentioned to me."”

But there *is* a small chance Susie and Clayton have rekindled things

But lemme repeat: It’s small. Clayton’s relationships with Gabby and Rachel are fully over, but there’s a teeny-tiny chance that he and Susie could be working things out (unless she’s the next Bachelorette, obviously).

Here’s Steve’s take:

“I’ve never been led to believe that Clayton is with Susie, and while I think he’s single, I really have no idea if he is or not. I guess that’s where the ‘nobody knows the ending yet’ comes in. Because he definitely left Iceland single, so I guess it’s just a matter of where any relationship with Susie stands now.”

Welp! There you have it. I guess we’ll see most of this unfold in tonight’s episode on ABC at 8 p.m. ET!
