KSI is a YouTuber-turned-rapper who is one of the biggest streamers in the world.

The Misfits co-founder performed his selection of hits at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball on December 8, 2024.

YouTube star

KSI was born on June 19, 1999 and is an English YouTube personality, boxer, rapper, comedian and actor.

His real name is Olajide William “JJ” Olatunji.

The YouTuber went to the independent Berkhamsted School alongside future Sideman member and YouTube collaborator Simon Minter, better known as Miniminter.

KSI — which stands for knowledge, strength, integrity — first arrived on the YouTube scene back in 2009, originally posting content about video games.

How does KSI make his money?

Since 2009, KSI’s channel has reached nearly six billion video views on his personal YouTube channel, with 24million subscribers.

When his combined channels are included, he has more than 41.5million subscribers and 10.55billion views.

He managed to earn an NME Award for Vlogger of the Year back in 2016.

As well as his YouTube career, KSI has released four EPs as a rapper, two of which have topped the UK R&B Albums Chart.

In 2015, he was ranked as the UK’s most influential YouTube creator, with his brother Deji, otherwise known by his handle Comedy Shorts Gamer, ranking second.

In 2016, he made his feature film debut in the comedy Laid in America alongside fellow YouTube star Casper Lee.

The Sidemen

KSI was a founding member of the online group The Sidemen, which is the product of seven British YouTubers, launching their own premium web TV series in 2018.

However, he was the centre of controversy in 2012 after a Eurogamer event due to supposed sexual harassment of attendees.

Microsoft cut ties with him and he was banned for life from the expo.

He addressed the controversy in his 2015 autobiography, entitled KSI: I Am A B*****d.

But since 2022 he has been more active in the fight game, fighting four times before his dust-up with Tommy Fury on October 14.

As well as all of this, KSI is a successful businessman — he’s the the CEO of Misfits Boxing, and co-owner of Prime Hydration, XIX Vodka and restaurant chain Sides.

KSI’s car collection

Lamborghini

KSI splashed out some of his riches on a specialised £280k Lamborghini Aventador in 2014, that’s been dubbed his “pride and joy.”

The stunning Italian sports car was wrapped by celebrity customiser Yiannimize in an eye-catching purple hue.

He even released a track titled Lamborghini in March 2015, paying tribute to his beloved motor and making it the star of the video shoot.

But reports suggest he flogged the incredible vehicle at a loss two years after its music vid debut.

Porsches

KSI didn’t lose any sleep over it though — he still has his Porsche 718 Boxster to whizz around in, which he bought in April 2019.

The fancy motor, which carries a price tag starting at around £65k, boasts a drop-top roof and a top speed of 171mph.

And just to make sure everyone knows who is behind-the-wheel, KSI added a personalised licence plate which reads “K51 FLY”.

He also impressed his army of fans with his next swanky addition to his garage — a £60,000 Porsche Cayenne.

The YouTuber flaunted the bespoke car in a series of Snapchat stories, but hasn’t shared any snaps showing off the exterior.

The Cayenne is the more luxurious of Porsche’s SUVs and boasts a 3.0L Turbo V6 engine.

Rolls-Royce Wraith

KSI has also hinted that he has an even more exclusive motor stashed away — the luxurious Rolls-Royce Wraith.

The £250,000 car oozes opulence, as it should when it will set you back a whopping £250,000.

Although he hasn’t specifically announced that he purchased one, he’s been seen in LA countless times driving the Wraith.

KSI’s boxing record

The YouTuber made his boxing debut on August 25, 2018.

He had a high profile fight with Tommy Fury, Molly-Mae’s ex, where KSI was defeated in the sixth round.

KSI’s fight with Logan Paul was billed as the biggest “amateur” and “internet” fight in history, but ended in a majority draw.

When the pair rematched in 2019, KSI finally defeated his opponent.

KSI’s music career

KSI spent a couple of years focussing on his musical career, including releasing Really Love with Craig David and Digital Farm Animals in October 2020.

He has been creating rap music since 2011 and released his first studio album Dissimulation in 2020.

His second studio album All Over The Place debuted at number one on the UK charts.

Throughout his career, he has scored five hits in the UK Top Five and fourteen top 40 singles.

The star performed at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball alongside a line-up of artists including Katy Perry, Coldplay and Perrie.
