Who is Karl Jacobs?

Karl Jacobs, born July 19, 1998, is an American YouTuber and Twitch streamer – best known as known as GamerBoyKarl.

In 2020, he rose to fame after appearing on the DreamSMP server – one of the most popular Minecraft servers.

On March 27, Jacobs toured American rapper Lil Nas X around the server alongside YouTuber Corpse Husband.

DreamSMP is a server owned by YouTuber Dream – Jacobs joined in August 2020 after he competed with Dream’s team in the Twitch Rivals Minecraft tournament.

Following the tournament he launched a Twitter campaign #Karl4DreamSMP, which ended up trending and he finally got invited to the server.

He is gained further popularity for being part of MrBeast’s crew – Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson is one of YouTube’s biggest creators.

Karl dropped out of college just five weeks before he was going to graduate to take a job working alongside MrBeast.

He has also collaborated with other YouTubers such as TommyInnit and Technoblade.

Karl has long been a gamer and started his Twitch stream in 2017 under the brand “GamerBoyKarl”.

From August 2020 to January 2021, Karl gained over 1.3 million followers on Twitch.

He now boasts 3.5 million followers on the streaming platform.

Jacobs’ other social media accounts have gained huge followings, particularly his TikTok, which now has a staggering 11.3 million fans.

In August 2022, he announced that stories from his series Tales from the SMP would be adapted as a series of comic books titled Time Traveler Tales for Dark Horse Comics,
