2 Apr, 2013 @ 1:48am Why are people complaining about the length? There are many things I do not like about this game, but length is not one of them. If you search every nook and cranny, it will take around 15 hours to finish it. That is almost twice as long as average FPS game: Prey took me 7 hours. Half Life 2: EP2 took around 5 hours. The game is probably longer than Bioshock 1 and 2. < > Showing 1-9 of 9 comments

2 Apr, 2013 @ 3:41am I don't know how i managed it but it took me like 20 something hours my first time through and i searched everything lol.. i think it's because i really like exploring and also i love the art style of this game and could just look at stuff for a while. the beginning for instance when you first launch and arrive at Columbia.. the floating down and getting your first glimpse is awesome and also inside of the church.. the colors and animation, i wish life looked like that #2

2 Apr, 2013 @ 3:46am half life 2: EP2, wasn't a full game at 60 dollars though. It was 20, or included with orange box.But I agree, this game isn't really short for a FPS, and seemed similar length to bioshock,. If you look through every nook and cranny which you have to if you are trying to fill out the story it isn't short. it is short, if you play it like a normal FPS. But the main thing is most FPS's or TPS's have multiplayer with it. I don't care to get into that debate, but that's the case so it enhances value for those games. This game doesn't have anything beyond playing it again. (which is the case with every game). However, everyone knew/should have known buying this game. Not that this game isn't without it's flaws. I have numerous issues. Last edited by thunderpeteii; 2 Apr, 2013 @ 4:01am #3

2 Apr, 2013 @ 3:56am The game has a decent length, but has little to do after completion.Luckily I got this for £23 with 3 other games in a bundle, so 12 hours doesn't feel like a rip off.... Full price and I probably would have been dissapointed though. #4

2 Apr, 2013 @ 6:06am My missus never complains aboout length... On a serious note 19 hours sof far and I haven't finished yet. I have searched everywhere, read most if not all things and admired the view. I have also backtracked with codes and chest keys when i found them before progressing the game further.I am really enjoying it. #5

2 Apr, 2013 @ 6:14am ^ I did all that in 12 hours, although admittedly I only have about 7/8ths of the collectibles (voxys, binoculars etc). So I'm currently playing 1999 mode, which will totally finish up any further playtime, atleast for the next 2-3 years, when I may/may not fancy revisiting the story. #6

2 Apr, 2013 @ 6:44am People have different views on what should be acceptable. For me the game lasted 14 hours (1st playthrough on Normal), which for a game that is quite linear is longish. As it was so strongly story focused I found it to be as good, even better than more open games that pad out and lose some direction (eg: Skyrim), but contain more hours to complete 100% #7

2 Apr, 2013 @ 6:50am I finished the game in 9 hours. I didn't spend a whole lot of time looking around all the nooks and crannies, but I definitely searched my fair share of desks, crates, barrels, etc. I gotta say, for $60, I honestly don't feel like I got my money's worth. Sorry, but running around doing an Easter egg hunt for 10 hours isn't really the most compelling gameplay to me.I think this is kind of how linear action games go though. I don't know of any of them that offer more than 20-25 hours of gameplay unless they're extremely grindy and repetitive. Then again, this is why I usually prefer open world games like Saints Row, Skyrim, etc. You can still beat the main campaigns in a fairly short amount of time, but there's so much more to do besides hunt for Easter eggs.
