Why did Shaak Ti get so many death scenes? Theres the two death scenes in ROTS, one by grievous and one by Anakin, and she also gets a death scene in the video game The Force Unleashed. And another one in a Lego Star Wars game where Vader kills her.

  • Because people are trying to fill the gaps left the movies, that’s basically what the EU is so considering we never got a definite answer to what happened to Shaak Ti in the movies, many authors tried to answer it.

    As you mentioned, two versions of her death were considered but never released in the movie so, technically, still open for interpretation. In the novelization she does die by Anakin’s hands during Order 66. In the games, they wanted her for the story so she survived Order 66 only to be killed much later. The Lego games were never on the highest level of canon so they had more room for their own interpretations and, from what I’ve read, they went with a version similar to Rots (official?) one: killed by Anakin during Order 66. So, there are 3 main versions of her death:

    • Killed by Grievous in the beginning of ROTS: scrapped by George early on. Never considered canon.
    • Killed by Anakin during Order 66: deleted scene. Never considered official movie canon.
    • Killed (suicide?) by Starkiller: official death (kind of). Still, not considered official movie canon.

    Chronologically, it makes sense. When ROTS came out we didn’t see what happened to Shaak Ti and since deleted scenes are not considered canon the games decided to portray her death. the Lego game chose the deleted scene approach and the force unleashed decided to give her a new arc.

    The trickier part is figuring out if now she died later or by Anakin’s hands because the clones shows in Yoda’s visions that she dies during Order 66.
