Why didn't android 16 come back to life?

Why didn't android 16 come back to life?

Because a broken toaster cannot be brought back to 'life'. In the end, he is an android, a complete mechanical being and Shen Long didn't see him as a living being. 16 lives in the rainforest fighting the forces of Lutin Plunder Logging Corporation... You wonder why Captain Planet retired? Not because he thought it was hopeless... because #16 was doing such a good job in his place... *ahem*. I wonder about #17. Was he killed when Cell was destroyed? How did that work?

Umm ok, it like this. 17 in Cell, Cell goes bom, 17 goes bom, Cell rejunarates, 17 does not rejunarate, Cell comes back, 17 does not come back. No.16 was an android; a machine won't come back to life because it never had a life to begin with. GT made it confusing by showing No.19 but I'd rather get into asking a question of my own.. Now I don't want to get into definitions but according to the anime, we see Gero/No.20 in hell. So with No.20 technically being a cyborg was he still alive after his brain was put in to a mechanical body? If that's the case, that means he can be revived solely because his brain is still "alive".. I give this one up to a plothole. Eight's appearance had been his first in...well, since before Piccolo Daimao had even been thought up, so I doubt Toriyama-sensei reviewed the entire series to see who should be alive and not. No.8? That can be dismissed as DragonBall when reviving people was seen as it is in the real world. :roll: But seriously, I don't know. Goku unleashed a massive attack after No.8. Gohan went SSj2. I'm assuming No.16's death was a bit more dramatic :P, so reviving No.16 wouldn take some of that emotion away. Besides, No.16 still made it known that he was programmed to kill Goku. No.8 dropped that when he became Goku's friend.
