The gravitational pull depends on the mass and the distance between two bodies.Complete answer:As per the question asked, why do sea waves get stronger at night, the answer is due to the force of gravity of the moon. In the night time when the moon rises, its gravity influences the objects on earth and attracts the object towards it, but when we ask why only sea waves rise then the answer is simple. Water is a liquid and It can take any shape and it is so flexible that it can rise up at the same time it can on earth. When the gravity of moon attracts the sea water towards it starts rising up, but the gravity of moon is not this much strong that it can attract the water completely towards its side so the water rises up in the form of waves but due to the height strength of gravitational pull of earth it does not reaches the moon and hence only high tides or waves are formed during the night when moon is up in the sky.Note:It is not true that waves get stronger in the night time only, sometimes when the moon is up in the sky during the day time then also waves get stronger and the reason behind it is the same. The gravitational pull of the moon attracts the sea water when the moon is u in the sky no matter what time it is, also the gravitational pull of the sun attracts the water on Earth but the force of gravity due to the sun is very less on Earth.Recently Updated PagesMaster Class 12 Business Studies: Engaging Questions & Answers for Successarrow-rightMaster Class 12 Economics: Engaging Questions & Answers for Successarrow-rightMaster Class 12 English: Engaging Questions & Answers for Successarrow-rightMaster Class 12 Maths: Engaging Questions & Answers for Successarrow-rightMaster Class 12 Social Science: Engaging Questions & Answers for Successarrow-rightMaster Class 12 Chemistry: Engaging Questions & Answers for Successarrow-rightMaster Class 12 Business Studies: Engaging Questions & Answers for Successarrow-rightMaster Class 12 Economics: Engaging Questions & Answers for Successarrow-rightMaster Class 12 English: Engaging Questions & Answers for Successarrow-rightMaster Class 12 Maths: Engaging Questions & Answers for Successarrow-rightMaster Class 12 Social Science: Engaging Questions & Answers for Successarrow-rightMaster Class 12 Chemistry: Engaging Questions & Answers for Successarrow-right
