You think breaking up over a text is bad? Well, ghosting is worse.

It is the worst form of rejection when someone abruptly stops responding to your texts. No clarification. No explanation. They simply vanish.

1. Casual Sexism Or Misogyny

Sexism is bad and misogyny is worse. Whether you’re giving her unsolicited opinions on her style, her makeup or her career, you need to stop. 

Avoid saying things like ‘I like women with no makeup’ or ‘ you look better in a dress than in jeans’.

We all grew up with patriarchy embedded in our society so there’s some deep-rooted sexism in each one of us. But instead of projecting it on others, try to be more understanding and avoid commenting on anyone’s personal choices.

2. Being Too Needy

If you’re really into someone, it’s easy to get anxious waiting for them to text back. But you have to fight the urge of sending her back to back ‘hey’ texts. 

This can make you seem too needy and turn her off. Think about it, if someone was texting you back to back, wouldn’t you feel annoyed?

3. Being Too Pushy

If she says that she prefers meeting at a restaurant instead of coming over, listen to her. There’s no point pushing her to meet you because that will only push her away. 

Respecting her boundaries is the only way of making her feel safe. More so, can you really blame her for being too cautious?

4. Excessive Sexting

Did she start the sexting? Did she reciprocate your sexts? If the answer to both these questions is no, you need to stop. You may be in the mood to sext, but she’s not. 

If you continue to be pushy about it, she is likely to get uncomfortable and ghost. No means no and silence also means no, be it on a dating app or in real life.

5. You Met & There Was No Chemistry

It’s not your fault and it’s not hers. Sometimes, you simply don’t hit it off. 

Instead of chasing her, move on and match with someone new. Who knows, you may find someone who is actually compatible with you and you end up talking for hours with her.
