Bugs and things have defence mechanisms in the form of vibrant colours and nasty tastes...so what on earth is earwax defending itself against?? :-? (step forward tMP's formerly unknown E.N.T. specialist. There has to be one, we have experts in everything else!)

lol!! anyway back on topic i thought earwax was to catch dust and other dirt in ur ears, so maybe thats why is tastes so nasty- ie its the dirt that tastes minging!

It tastes nasty because it's poisonous and if you eat it you'll turn into a big slug and get eaten by birds. Don't eat earwax or you might die. (I have no idea, maybe its a way to warn off ear eaters) C

What does earwax taste like? Never tried it myself. Bertie Botts Every-Flavour Beans have an earwax flavour bean...Professor Dumbledore says so... What do people think about blood? I quite like it myself. You know --- when you accidentally bite your tongue or brush your teeth too hard and your teeth bleed...yum.

Not a fan of the old human blood myself, I prefer it from a nice (beef) steak!

I guess it tastes like pennies because it is metallic - it's got a mettally taste. BTW, how do you know what other people's blood tastes like? I thought Angel got upto that kind of thing, not Willow

So how come loogies don't taste nearly as bad?...erm...allegedly...so I'm told...er...a-hem. :roll:

Anywayyyyyyy ears.....just a mingy thing that happened to me...I had a perforated eardrum about 10 years ago and needed an op to sort it out after over 20 ear infections... my ear was cut open and a new ear drum was made from some inner ear skin...when I woke up from general anethetic , I sat up and had all this ear mess dribble out of my ear...a nice nurse sorted it all out and cleaned my ear up ( thanks to the ENT Clinic at Ysbyty Gwynedd ). I could not get rid of the taste of ear wax for weeks after...was the most minging taste ever( Apart from Pimms ugh). All I have to show is a small scar near my hairline and a hatered for ear wax and pimms... C

Never heard that term before! Goz, bogey, gob, greenies, but not loogie Ok, then. Loogies. Taste OK, unless you have been knocking down old ceilings without a dust mask, so that black lime is mixed in. Tastes pretty dire with dusty ceiling added, awful colour as well....
