Why does Mr. Pendanski treat Zero the way he does?

I think  Mr. Pendanski treats Zero the way he does because he thinks Zero is stupid but actually Zero just doesn’t like answering questions. He may also treat Zero rudely because he thinks can’t learn anything and can’t speak very well (because he rarely does).  He might just be treating him the way he does just to see if he reacts to it.  I think Zero is actually very smart and can learn any thing he wants to.
