Francis Ford Coppola Winery is a winery in America owned by the famous director Francis Ford Coppola.

In 2006, the Coppola family purchased the historic Château Souverain Estate in Sonoma County and began renovations. Four years later the winery opened its doors.

The famous American director was always influenced by the idea of Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, which eventually served as a model for all modern theme parks.

He thought that Francis Ford Coppola's winery could become such a park for the whole family, where kids would have something to do, where they could be with their parents and enjoy the wine and food.

When they started developing the idea for this winery, they decided that it should be like a resort, essentially a wine wonderland...... A place to celebrate the love of life.

For over forty years, the Coppola family has been seeking innovative ways to apply sustainable practices to the vineyard and winemaking process to increase efficiency, minimise impact and create a welcoming environment for wildlife, staff and guests of the winery.
