How to get wither roses?

To get wither roses, players will have to summon the mighty wither boss. This boss-type mob is hostile towards all other creatures and thus attacks nearly every mob in sight. Owing to its strength, the wither can easily kill almost every other mob.

Any mob killed by the wither drops a wither rose. This is the only method for getting wither roses in Minecraft. Players can summon the wither in an open area with many weak mobs, such as chickens or pigs, to force the wither to kill them. This way, players can get tons of wither roses easily.

Like every other item in Minecraft, players can also farm wither roses automatically. Players can create a wither rose farm using the high spawn rate of endermen in the End to get tons of wither roses and ender pearls.

Since wither roses take more effort than regular flowers, they have some special abilities. Wither rose is the only flower that can inflict a status effect on players or other mobs.

Except wither skeleton- and boss-type mobs, any entity that comes in contact with a wither rose will get wither effect for a second and take damage. Players can use wither roses to build traps and kill other mobs.

Wither roses are also used for building wither skeleton farms. As wither skeletons are immune to wither roses, only they can freely spawn on blocks with wither roses. Other than these, wither roses are an alternative source for black dye in Minecraft.
