Work is a currency command in Dank Memer. It's mainly to manage your job within the bot, like applying, resigning, doing work shifts, checking your work stars, and checking out other types of jobs.

To apply for a job, run /work apply <job name>, and to resign from a job, run /work resign.

To fulfill your work, run /work shift.

There are 26 different jobs in Dank Memer that you can apply for, with each having different salaries, shifts required/day, and different shift time.

After applying for a job, you have to make sure that you've run the required amount of shifts per day, otherwise, you'll get fired from your job, which will have a cooldown of 6 hours before you're allowed to apply for another job.

You can get fired if:

1. You do not meet the requirements of work hours for a week.
2. You failed more than 3 mini-games a row within a day.
3. Stealing from another person in a day (Exception: Robbers).

You can resign if you want to by running the /work resign command, but you'll have to wait a full 3 hours until you can get another job.

Getting Promoted[]

If you're a dedicated one, and always perform a work shift well pass the required amount, the good chances are you'll probably get a promotion the next day you do a work shift command.

The easiest ways to get a promotion is to:

1. Don't fail a shift
2. Don't receive a bad message from your boss (Robbing)
3. Exceed the total required amount of shift/day

Trivia[]

• Jobs that were removed and are no longer available include: Cosplayer, Internet Troll, Dank Memer Developer, Karen and Dictator.
• If the user clicks on the name of any job they unlocked from the work list embed, they will get directed to this youtube video.
• You don't keep your salary promotion after resigning or getting fired. For example, if you've got a promotion which is +100 coins and you've got fired, you have to get promoted again to earn 100 coins more than the base salary.
• While working a shift, you will have to complete a minigame, which can be one of the following:
  • Memorizing and guessing an emoji correctly.
  • Memorizing and guessing which color a certain word (based on your job and its characteristics) was matched with.
  • Repeating five words (based on your job and its characteristics) in the correct order.
  • Scoring the right goal. In this minigame, there will be 3 goals, and a goalie will be in one of them. Note that the goalie will switch goals quickly. To win the minigame, you have to score in one of the 2 goals that the goalie is not goalkeeping. If you are successful, your shift will have been successful as well, and you will receive your full pay. If you fail the minigame, your shift will have been "sub-par", and you will only receive 1/3 of your pay. The minigame you get is randomized, so you may have to play one of the other 3 minigames, or the same one.
  • Dunking in the right basket. In this minigame, there will be 3 baskets, and a basketball will alternate around them. Note that the basketball will switch baskets quickly, similar to the goal minigame. To win the minigame, you have to dunk in the goal that the basketball is lined up with. If you are successful, your shift will have been successful as well, and you will receive your full pay. If you fail the minigame, your shift will have been "sub-par", and you will only receive 1/3 of your pay. The minigame you get is randomized, so you may have to play one of the other 3 minigames, or the same one.

• Not hitting the work shift requirement for one day would fire you in the past. This was later balanced to give you one week.

• You will also have to complete one of these minigames when caring for your pet.
