The best if use a octane booster (as it contains cleaners) and then go NS H'way or better still track and whack !! The increase pressure from the whacking will help the cleaners to work better....

If just use cleaner then drive normally, IMHO....no use leh...

Recently I just tried STP complete fuel system cleaner. It's good! Though used on a new car, I can feel it's as sensitive on my pedal compared with before. I've been using STP products for a long time already. i strongly recommand it. Of cos if your car is coming of age, it takes some time to see results. i took 200 km on my XR4 before I saw results. The website is www.stp.com. Hope this helps. Its available at B1 Golden Wheel Centre, Giant, major petrol stations.

I had run fuel injected cars more than 200,000kms on the odo. Never had a injector problem. These stuff are pretty low in technology and are not prone to breakdown. In fact, injectors don't run 100% duty cycle in a car. At most 70% in a stock std car, that we are talking about full throttle.

So, on daily driving, injectors are probably running 20% to 30% duty cycle. If it is choke, the O2 sensor will sense the mixture is not correct and then the ECU will adjust and keeps the correct fuel going into the engine. You fuel consumption and power will still be the same.

That's why you can put in all kinds of injector cleaner into your fuel tank, but your fuel consumption don't improve. The only way to choke the injector will be debris from your fuel tank and this cannot be solve by way of injector cleaner. So, always maintain your fuel filter, change every say 50,000kms.

Our petrol are also filtered before it is pumped into your tank. Not so dirty to start off with.

Conclusion : No maintain needed on fuel injection system.

Blue, so say for our bricks the injector cycle is ECU controlled right? Will they go to say.....90% duty cycle when the overboost is temporarily kicked in? [shocked]

Give u a short description, w/o the actual calculations.

Say u got 240cc +/- injectors (which most 1.6-2L NA cars are using). The potential HP output would be around 180-200HP. My stock is 130HP, with some of my own tuning, it stilll kicked up only to 145hp at the flywheel. It will never reach the max duty cycle.

Even with your overboost or me kicking in my VTEC and redlining it...as said will never work >70% DC.
