WithMassachusetts taking the number one spot, the list is based on the following factors:

  • Economy
  • Education and health
  • Quality of life
  • Safety

South Carolina ranked11th for affordability, 27th for the economy, 46th for education and health, 26th for quality of life and 49th for safety.

Taking the lead in each category was Alabama for affordability, North Dakota for the economy,Massachusetts for education and health, New York for quality of life and New Jersey for safety.

Coming in last for the website's qualifiers was California for affordability, Illinois for the economy, Mississippi for education and health, Alaska for quality of life and New Mexico for safety.
