You can certainly use other words to express your agreement. However, please note that Russians agree with the speaker, which can be a little confusing for English speakers, i.e., if a Russian says: " Вы не можете знать это наверняка" (You don't know it for sure, do you?) the reply would be: "Да. Я не знаю" (Yes. I don't know.) - rather than in English, where the standard reply would be: "No, I don't know."
