SCOTTSDALE, AZ — Parada del Sol and the accompanying Trail's End Festival are back on again this year after a hiatus because of the pandemic in 2021. This year's fitting theme is "Back in the Saddle."

The parade and festival typically draw about 30,000 people to Scottsdale to celebrate the city's heritage and culture, according to the parade website.

The 68th annual parade is set to begin at 10 a.m. Saturday and to end around noon. The parade features more than 100 entries including floats, horse-riders, horse-drawn carriages, marching bands, wagons and stagecoaches, according to the city. Many cultures are represented, including Mexican, Native American and Western.

The festival features entertainment on several stages including Ballet Folklorico Quetzalli, which celebrates Mexican folkloric dance; Saguaro High School Sabercats Marching Band and the Herndon Brothers, who play new and old country music.
